March 16, 2023
Suli Ning Lubao, in partnership with NHCP Museo ni Jose B. Lingad, NHCP Museo at Aklatan ni Diosdado Macapagal, DHVSU-College of Arts and Sciences Student Council, DHVSU Biology Society, and DHVSU – Lex Honos: The Honorian Junior Law Circle, recently hosted a Museum Promotion and Book-Giving event to celebrate Don Honorio Ventura State University’s University Days.
The event, which took place on March 16, 2023, at the lobby of the university auditorium, was a resounding success. It was attended by hundreds of students and university directors who were excited to take part in the various activities prepared by the organizers.

One of the main highlights of the event was the “Blind Date with a Book”, where attendees were able to choose a wrapped book without knowing the title and author. This activity aimed to encourage reading and spark interest in literature among the participants. Over 400 items were given away for free, including books, school supplies, mugs, and tote bags, which added to the excitement and energy of the event.
Apart from the book-giving activity, there were other exciting activities that attendees could participate in. One of them was the “Quiz-ayasan,” a Philippine history quiz that tested the knowledge of participants on various topics related to the country’s rich history. Attendees who showed their expertise in Philippine history were able to win exciting prizes.
Another activity was the game “Pinoy Henyo,” which tested participants’ communication and deduction skills. Participants had to guess the word on their teammate’s forehead with a limited time and number of clues. This game provided a fun and engaging way to learn and discover new things about Philippine culture and history.

In addition to these activities, attendees also had the opportunity to participate in the “Panahon Ko Yarn! photo identification game. This game required participants to identify pictures of antique objects and name them, providing a fun and interactive way to learn about history and culture.
Overall, Suli Ning Lubao’s Project Baliquid was a successful event that not only provided a fun and engaging day for attendees but also promoted awareness and appreciation of Philippine history and culture. It showcased the importance of looking back on our past and learning from it, as we move towards a brighter future.
